Bethany Lister is the Director at BHT Environmental Ltd, working alongside Richard to keep the business running smoothly.

Bethany is responsible for the company’s finances, administration, report management, business development and day-to-day organisation. She also plays an important role in maintaining client relationships and ensuring reports are prepared and delivered promptly.

With a background in hotel management and experience working on cruise ships, Bethany brings strong customer-service skills, excellent organisation and a genuine passion for helping people. Her experience has given her a strong focus on communication, attention to detail and delivering on promises.

Since joining Richard at BHT Environmental, Bethany has become an integral part of the business, helping to ensure clients receive a professional, reliable and personal service.

Richard Thornton is the Director and founder of BHT Environmental Ltd, bringing over 15 years of experience in the asbestos and environmental consultancy industry.

Throughout his career, Richard has gained extensive experience in asbestos surveying, management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, re-inspections, consultancy and property inspections across both commercial and residential properties.

His practical, hands-on approach allows him to provide clients with advice that is clear, straightforward and cost-effective, helping property owners, landlords, hotels, B&Bs and businesses understand and manage their responsibilities.

Richard believes that asbestos consultancy shouldn't be complicated. His focus is on providing clients with accurate information, clear reporting and practical advice without unnecessary jargon.

At BHT Environmental, Richard works closely with clients to provide tailored solutions, whether they require a one-off asbestos survey, ongoing management support, refurbishment advice or consultancy for a larger project.
